Who we are

CodexWebLabs is the trade name of 9455-4441 Quebec inc., a corporation registered in Quebec, Canada. Mailing address: CP 23244, Laval CP des Boulevards, QC H7N 6K1, Canada.

What we collect

We collect only the information necessary to answer you, build your project, and run this site.

  • Contact details — name, email, phone (if provided), and the message you send via the contact form or project-intake questionnaire.
  • Project briefs — business details you voluntarily share so we can scope the build (brand, industry, references, budget range, timeline).
  • Site analytics — anonymized page-view data, device type, country, referring page. No personally identifying tracking without your consent (see Cookies).
  • Operational metadata — IP address and user agent for spam protection and rate-limiting on form submissions.

How we use it

  • Reply to your inquiry and scope your project.
  • Deliver, host, and maintain a website if you become a client.
  • Send invoices, receipts, and project updates.
  • Improve this site (anonymized, aggregated analytics only).
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations in Quebec and Canada.

Service providers

We use the following third-party platforms to run this site and our service:

  • Vercel (USA) — hosting and CDN for the site you are reading.
  • Supabase (US/EU regions) — database for project-intake form submissions.
  • Resend (USA) — transactional email delivery (your inquiry → our inbox; receipts → yours).
  • Cloudflare (USA) — DNS and email routing for the codexweblabs.com domain.
  • Stripe (USA) — payment processing for project deposits and invoices (we never store card data).
  • Google Analytics 4 (USA) — anonymized site analytics, loaded only after consent.
  • Sentry (USA) — error monitoring; logs scrubbed of personally identifying fields.

International transfers

Several of our providers host data in the United States and EU. By using this site or hiring us, you consent to your information being transferred outside Quebec. Each provider is bound by industry-standard contractual safeguards.

Cookies

We use two tiers of cookies:

  • Essential — required for the site to function (theme preference, cookie-consent state). No tracking.
  • Analytics — anonymized Google Analytics. Loaded ONLY after you consent via the cookie banner.

You can refuse analytics cookies at any time without losing access to the site. Per Quebec Law 25, refusing is just as easy as accepting.

Data retention

Contact form submissions: kept for up to 2 years to handle follow-up inquiries. Client project records (invoices, source code, agreements): kept for 6 years per Canadian tax law. Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default). You can request earlier deletion of anything that isn't required by law for us to keep.

Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any information that is inaccurate.
  • Request deletion of information we are no longer required to keep.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing at any time.
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the federal Privacy Commissioner.

Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, scoped service-role keys for our database, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Children

CodexWebLabs serves businesses, not individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, contact hello@codexweblabs.com and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as our service or the law evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage and the “Last updated” date above will move.
